Mendelssohn Symphony No. 2
On Jan. 25 & 26, ProMusica will start 2025 joined by the Capital University Chapel Choir and three world-class vocalists, as our Music Director David Danzmayr leads our first-ever performance of Mendelssohn’s powerful symphony-cantata, “Lobgesang” (“Hymn of Praise”)—the composer’s most ambitious symphony achievement. Giya Kancheli’s hauntingly beautiful "Midday Prayers" complements this program of both simplicity and glory.
